Ryan and Matt grew up together in the great city of Peabody, Massachusetts. Ryan is a singer, songwriter, and an all-around incredible musician. His latest album, "Wood, Fire, Water, and Air" is not only great music but also does a fantastic job of using an Oxford comma in its name.

Matt and Dave talk with Ryan about his musical journey, some of the great venues he's played at, life on the road, putting down roots, how to make social media work, and how he's thus far not taken advantage of the wide-open opportunity to become America's #1 Bris Band. We even got a very special surprise drop-in from a previous pod guest.

We talk about her path to television hosting, how her kids feel about her celebrity (spoiler alert: they don't care), and how her athletic prowess far surpasses Matt's - which Matt finds very insulting. We spend a lot of time laughing about a lot of things. At least Matt didn't get dropped by Spider-Man on a live, and very national, television broadcast. We had a great conversation about raising a toddler, summer camp, and the longest running joke.

She is a writer and editor who started her career in women’s magazines, working at Cosmo and writing for Glamour, Elle, Women’s Health, SELF, and others. She was also a successful young adult ghostwriter, penning 13 YA novels in her twenties, including five Gossip Girl books. When she was 31, she became unexpectedly pregnant during what was supposed to be a year long backpacking trip around the world. She came home, created her own content marketing business, and found a specialization in the personal finance and health insurance space, proving that pivoting in your career is always possible. Today, her daughter, Lucy, is eight, Anna is working (finally) on the half-finished novel idea she had begun when she was on that backpacking trip.
